A clear pickup can make a short Ann Arbor ride easier. Select a legal place where the rider can wait and the driver can approach without blocking traffic.

A useful pickup has three parts

1. A recognizable business, building, or public place name.
2. A safe side of the street or nearby legal loading area.
3. Enough room for the full rider group to wait together.

Avoid uncertain pickups

Do not choose a closed street, active traffic lane, private drive, emergency access area, or a place that requires the driver to break a posted rule. Event closures and crowd controls can change access.

After driver assignment

Follow the app ride status and be ready at the selected place. The assigned driver can be affected by traffic, crowds, closures, and current street access. Do not rely on one exact arrival minute.
